Modesto Residents: Easy Battery Recycling Service Now Available

The City of Modesto is offering a convenient and free service for residents to recycle their household batteries. Instead of throwing away used batteries, residents can schedule a pick-up by calling (209) 577-5494 and following a few simple steps. This initiative is part of Modesto Rethinks Waste, funded by CalRecycle. To participate, individuals need to collect their used batteries, tape the ends, place them in clear resealable bags, and leave them outside their homes by 7am on the appointment date. This effort aims to promote easy and environmentally-friendly battery recycling in Modesto, California.
