Modesto Library Summer Reading Challenge Wraps Up Strong

The Stanislaus County Library in Modesto, CA, recently wrapped up its Summer Reading Challenge, with impressive results from the community. In the Ages 0-17 Challenge, there were 2,540 participants, with 721 completing the challenge which involved reading for 30 days. In total, these participants read for an outstanding 34,637 days.

For the Ages 18 & Up Challenge, there were 927 participants who collectively read 11,658 books and submitted 2,320 book reviews. Combined, the community logged over 46,000 days of reading throughout the challenges.

The library expressed gratitude to all who participated and made the summer reading program a success. Prize winners have been contacted, and information will be available on the library's website for upcoming events.
