The Modesto Police Department in Modesto, California is currently accepting applications for the position of Public Safety Outreach Specialist. This is a full-time position with an hourly pay ranging from $27.25 to $33.12.

The Public Safety Outreach Specialists will be part of the Community Health Assistance Team (CHAT) to offer proactive outreach services for non-criminal crises such as homelessness, substance abuse, mental illness, and dispute resolution.

Hiring incentives for this position include 20 hours of sick time and vacation time on the start date, as well as accrual of leave balances based on experience in the same classification at another agency.

Additional benefits and pay incentives for this position include a 4/11 hour schedule, 12 paid holidays per year, pay increases with Bachelor's and Master's degrees, longevity pay at 10 years of service, bilingual incentives, and uniform allowances.
