Mayor of Ocala joins community for yoga hike.

Staff Report / ocalalocal.org

The Mayor of Ocala, Ben Marciano, recently participated in a yoga session at Fort King National Historic Landmark led by Evolve Power Yoga. After the yoga session, a nature hike was led by staff around the fort trails, where participants learned about the history of the site and facts about the local plants and wildlife. The hike ended at the garden where attendees could observe various vegetables and plants growing on the grounds.

The next Workout with the Mayor event is scheduled for Oct. 5 at the Mary Sue Rich Community Center at Reed Place, located at 1821 NW 21st Ave. Attendees are encouraged to join in for a day of fitness and outdoor exploration.
