**Modesto Prepares for National Stormwater Awareness Week**

Modesto, California - The City of Modesto is gearing up for National Stormwater Awareness Week, which will take place from September 23-27, 2024. Although the current forecast does not predict rainy weather, the city emphasizes the importance of managing stormwater and its impact on the environment.

The Environmental Compliance Section of Modesto is actively involved in managing stormwater runoff by taking samples of water discharged from local businesses. This initiative aims to monitor and maintain water quality in the community.

Residents and businesses are reminded that if they observe any stormwater pollution, they can report it by calling (209) 577-6200.
