**Driver Ejected, Killed in Modesto Vehicle Crash**

**Fatal Vehicle Collision Under Investigation in Modesto**

Modesto, CA – A solo vehicle crash occurred in the early morning hours of October 18, 2024, at approximately 2:42 a.m. Police officers from the Modesto Police Department (MPD) responded to the scene at the intersection of Creekwood Drive and Edenton Way involving a gray 2016 Toyota sedan.

The driver, whose identity has not been released, was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene by medical personnel. There were no other individuals in the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The Traffic Safety Unit (TSU) is leading the investigation into the cause of the crash. Preliminary findings indicate that the vehicle was traveling southbound on Creekwood Drive when the driver lost control and collided with a concrete wall and a tree.

The investigation is ongoing, and further updates will be provided as they become available.
