Albany Elementary Celebrates World Kindness Day

Staff Report / Uticalocal.org

Albany Elementary School in Utica celebrated World Kindness Day on November 13 by creating a "Kindness Paper Chain." Each student and staff member received a paper link to write or draw a kind word, express gratitude, or share a representation of kindness. All the individual links were combined to form a large chain.

In addition to the paper chain, some students and staff wore cardigans to honor the spirit of kindness exemplified by Mr. Rogers, who famously said, "There are three ways to ultimate success: The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind."

Photos of the event are available in the school's gallery, with thanks to Mrs. Piplica for capturing the moments.
