**Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Marion County**
Indianapolis, IN – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Marion County, beginning at 4 a.m. on Friday and lasting through 4 a.m. on Saturday. The advisory forecasts snow accumulation of 2-4 inches, with the higher totals expected in areas further south and east of the county.
Snowfall is expected to taper off from west to east on Friday night, but the heaviest snowfall is anticipated Friday afternoon and evening. The Friday evening commute is likely to be impacted by the snow, and residents are advised to allow extra travel time and prepare for potentially difficult road conditions.
Following the snow, colder air is expected to return early next week. Temperatures are projected to dip into the single digits, with wind chills possibly reaching as low as -10°F at times.
The advisory has been issued by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) through the U.S. Department of Commerce. Residents are encouraged to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions during this period.
