Scranton Weekend Festival Offers Diverse Family Fun

Lackawanna County visitors in Scranton, Pennsylvania, are encouraged to check out this weekend's events scheduled from May 8 to May 11. The event line-up includes activities for various interests and age groups.

The schedule features Mother's Day events and plenty of family activities throughout Lackawanna County. Sports fans can catch the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders playing the Rochester Red Wings at PNC Field. Families have the opportunity to enjoy Baby Animal Days and the Tulip Festival at Lakeland Orchard & Cidery. History enthusiasts can take part in the Scranton Limited Yard Shuttle Train Rides at Steamtown National Historic Site.

For fans of wine, the Spring Wine Festival at Montage Mountain is scheduled, while those interested in themed excursions can join the Star Wars Trolley Excursion and Celebration at the Lackawanna County Electric City Trolley Station & Museum. Nightlife and music events include a 2000s Party at The Vspot Bar, Obey Your Master – a tribute to Metallica at The Ritz Theater, and "Live and Let Die" – a tribute to Paul McCartney at The Theater at North. There is also an opportunity for outdoor exercise with the Waverly Waddle 5K Run/Walk at Waverly Community House.
