**Webinar to Introduce Great Lakes Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center Services**

Purdue Extension Community Development, serving as Indiana's lead for the Great Lakes Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Center (TCTAC), is hosting an informational webinar next month. This session aims to support eligible organizations in navigating funding opportunities for community-focused projects across the Great Lakes region.

The webinar, scheduled for **February 20, 2025**, will provide a comprehensive overview of the Great Lakes TCTAC’s services, including assistance with identifying, applying for, and managing funding opportunities. Specific topics of discussion include project and geographic eligibility, financial support for Purdue Extension's Beginner's Guide to Grant Writing Workshop, and a Q&A segment for participants.

This effort coincides with the **Great Lakes Environmental Justice Thriving Communities Grantmaking Program** (TCGM), funded by the Environmental Protection Agency. The grant program is focused on supporting projects in disadvantaged and underserved communities. Grants range from $25,000 to $350,000 and are available to eligible groups like federally recognized tribes, local governments, higher education institutions, and nonprofit organizations. Applications are being accepted on a rolling basis, with awards announced every 3-4 months, continuing until fall 2026.

The webinar will also provide insight into essential questions such as:

- Determining project eligibility for funding

- Understanding project tiers within the program

- Accessing financial support for grant writing workshops

Hosted by Purdue Extension Marion County, this webinar represents a valuable opportunity for organizations to gain support and resources to bring impactful, community-driven projects to life.
