Modesto City Council Pursues Pro Soccer Team

The City Council of Modesto approved a Letter of Intent to start negotiations with the United Soccer League. The goal is to potentially bring professional soccer to Modesto. The public is invited to a media briefing on Thursday, September 12 at 9:30 am in front of City Hall to learn more from the Mayor, the USL, and former US Men's National Team player Heath Pearce. The focus of the negotiations is to discuss the possibility of professional men's and women's soccer in Modesto.
