Modesto Considers USL Team for Community Growth

The Modesto City Council held a meeting on Tuesday night where they unanimously approved a Letter of Intent to explore the possibility of bringing a United Soccer League (USL) team to Modesto. Following the decision, Mayor Sue Zwahlen, City Manager Joe Lopez, and USL Deputy CEO Justin Papadakis discussed the potential impact of introducing professional soccer in the city. More detailed information about their discussions is expected to be released soon.
