Modesto City Schools recently celebrated two outstanding students from El Vista Elementary, Nickolai and Nola, who have both achieved remarkable accomplishments during their time in school.

Nickolai, a sixth grader, is recognized for his positive attitude and exemplary behavior as a model student. He has received multiple awards in reading, writing, math, and DIBELS, as well as being named Student of the Month. He has consistently demonstrated responsibility and respect, earning him character awards. Notably, Nickolai has maintained perfect attendance since kindergarten, missing no school days. Outside of academics, he enjoys hip-hop dancing and is a member of the Boy Scouts. Looking ahead, Nickolai aspires to pursue a career in technology after high school.

Nola, a fourth grader and Nickolai's sister, is also commended for her hard work and dedication. Known for her friendly demeanor, Nola serves as a role model among her peers. Like her brother, she has received recognition as Student of the Month and has earned character awards for responsibility and respect in addition to awards in reading, writing, math, and DIBELS. Nola has also achieved perfect attendance since kindergarten. In her leisure time, she participates in dance and Cub Scouts. After high school, she plans to attend college to become a chiropractor.

Both siblings recently played an integral role in leading the Pledge of Allegiance at a school event, demonstrating their commitment to their school community.
