The Modesto Police Department held a blood drive on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, in collaboration with the American Red Cross. The event attracted 54 donors and resulted in the collection of 51 units of blood, which will assist patients in need both locally and nationwide.

The department emphasized the commitment of its members to community service. Support for the blood drive came from various associations, including the Modesto Police Officers Association, Modesto Police Non-Sworn Association, Modesto Police Foundation, Modesto SWAT Association, Modesto K9 Association, and Modesto Mounted Officers Association.

The Stanislaus County Office of Education provided the facilities for the event. Individuals interested in donating blood can visit RedCrossBlood.org for information on eligibility and local donation opportunities. The Modesto Police Department looks forward to continuing its partnership with the American Red Cross.
