Freedom Park in Modesto is temporarily closed as crews work to replace a damaged spiral slide in the playground designated for ages 5-12. The work is scheduled to begin on Friday, October 18th, at 7:00 AM and is expected to take the entire day. The adjacent Tot Lot will remain open during this time.

The City of Modesto Parks, Recreation, & Neighborhoods department has announced that the project has been postponed due to circumstances beyond their control, but they will provide updates when a new installation date is set.

Residents are thanked for their patience and understanding during the construction.
