Indianapolis Unveils Center for Racial and Economic Equity
The Indianapolis Foundation announced the establishment of the Center for Racial Equity and Economic Opportunity (CREEO) in 2024. The new center is dedicated to reducing racial and economic disparities in Indianapolis and Marion County, with a special focus on individuals and families in historically underserved communities.
CREEO will use research-based strategies to develop innovative solutions and expand proven practices. The center aims to drive long-term progress in advancing racial equity and economic opportunity through thorough research, strategic planning, and community collaboration.
In addition to its research efforts, CREEO plans to work with community partners to influence policies and actions. The goal is to remove barriers and build bridges to help every community member thrive in a changing economy.
