This morning, motorcyclists from various locations escorted the National Colors and Military Flags from the Southeast Livestock Pavilion through Ocala to Highland Memorial Park for a Patriot's Day ceremony. The event featured speeches and honor guard presentations from local first responder agencies, the veteran's office, and a bagpiper. The event culminated with an impressive flyover. The purpose of the ceremony was to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001.
