**Free Access to California State Parks Available Through Local Library**

Residents of Stanislaus County can take advantage of a unique offer at their local library. By using a library card, individuals can check out a free vehicle-day use pass for California State Parks or a hiking backpack filled with outdoor essentials.

The program allows access to over 200 participating state park units, promoting outdoor activities which have been linked to improved mental and physical health. The hiking backpack comes equipped with a parks pass, hiking poles, binoculars, maps, and additional outdoor gear.

Interested individuals can visit their local library branch to pick up a pass or backpack. To find the nearest library location, residents can go to https://www.stanislauslibrary.org/about_hours.shtm for more information.
