Sonoma Elementary School in Modesto is celebrating its 50th anniversary. Known for its focus on inclusion, diversity, and equity in education, the school has earned the nickname “The School with a Heart.”

On the occasion of its milestone anniversary, students from the Sonoma Dolphins showcased their school spirit with a performance from the school choir. They sang the Sonoma Spirit song, a rendition of “Sing” by the Carpenters, along with a special version of “Happy Birthday.”

The school expressed gratitude towards retired and former staff members for their contributions to the community, helping to make the celebration memorable.

The community celebration is scheduled for this weekend, with updates expected to be shared on social media.
