**Cold Weather Shelter Opens in Sarasota County**

A cold weather shelter will be open tonight and tomorrow, Wednesday, January 8, in Sarasota County to assist residents in need due to anticipated low temperatures. The Salvation Army of Sarasota County is hosting the shelter at its location at 1400 10th Street. The shelter will operate from 5 p.m. to 6 a.m. on both nights.

If you or someone you know requires shelter during this period of colder weather, assistance can be accessed at the site. For additional details, residents can visit the Sarasota County government website at scgov.net or call 941-861-5000.
