**Cold Weather Shelters Open in Sarasota County Tonight**
Sarasota County Emergency Management has coordinated with local community and municipal partners to provide cold weather shelters for residents in need due to a significant drop in temperatures. The shelters will be open on Sunday, Jan. 7, and Monday, Jan. 8, beginning at 5 p.m. on both days. Individuals attending are encouraged to bring their own sleeping materials.
**Shelter Locations:**
- **100 Church**
Address: 14525 Tamiami Trail, North Port
(Accessible via Breeze Route 9; the closest stop is a 0.1-mile walk from the shelter at Tamiami Trail and Espanola Avenue/Almonte Terrace.)
- **Salvation Army**
Address: 1400 10th St., Sarasota
(Accessible via Breeze Routes 7, 2, and 99. The nearest bus stops are 0.2 to 0.3 miles away.)
