**Man Arrested for Armed Burglary in Plant City**

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office (HCSO) has announced the arrest of 27-year-old Ervin Michael following a series of criminal charges, including armed burglary and grand theft firearm. The arrest took place in Lakeland after Michael fled from authorities.

On January 12, 2025, at approximately 12:40 a.m., a Plant City resident reported a masked individual trespassing on their property. When confronted, the suspect fled toward a nearby vehicle. HCSO’s Aviation Unit tracked the vehicle as it sped into neighboring Polk County.

Deputies, working alongside officers from Lakeland Police Department, traced the vehicle to a residence in Lakeland where Michael was apprehended. Stolen property was recovered during the arrest.

Michael faces several charges, including armed burglary of a conveyance, felony fleeing to elude while wearing a mask, burglary of an unoccupied conveyance while wearing a mask, and grand theft firearm.

Sheriff Chad Chronister commended the teamwork involved, stating, "This arrest exemplifies the dedication and collaboration between our deputies, Aviation Unit, and our partners at Lakeland PD. Thanks to their quick and coordinated efforts, we were able to arrest this suspect quickly, recover the stolen property, and ensure justice for the victims."
