**Pinellas County K-9 Teams Shine in USPCA Region 1 Competition**

Last week, four K-9 teams from the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) demonstrated their skills at the 2025 USPCA Region 1 K-9 Trials in Lakeland, Florida. The three-day event, hosted by the Lakeland Police Department, tested participants in patrol operations.

The PCSO K-9 handlers and their partners achieved notable results, securing 2nd place in the Top 4 Man Team Award out of 27 competing teams from the region. Individually, all four teams performed well, earning placements in the top half of the competition with 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th place finishes.

The team's members included:

- Deputy Brissett and K-9 Voodoo

- Deputy Ashworth and K-9 Digo

- Deputy LoRusso and K-9 Logan

- Deputy Harr and K-9 Tyson

This strong performance has given the team a spot at the national competition later this year in Manatee County. The department celebrates the dedication and hard work of its K-9 Unit and looks forward to their performance on the national stage.
