Scranton Hosts Diverse May Events: Tours, Festivals, Runs

Lackawanna County in Scranton, Pennsylvania, is hosting a variety of events from May 1 to May 4. Visitors can view the Wisteria at 409 on Adams at Lackawanna College and enjoy Electric City Trolley Excursions at the Lackawanna County Electric City Trolley Station & Museum.

Downtown Scranton will host First Friday Scranton, and the Thomas G. Cupillari ’60 Astronomical Observatory at Keystone College will hold Observatory Sessions. A guided tour of the Lackawanna Coal Mine is available for those interested in the region’s industrial past.

For active visitors, The Office 5K Run/Walk is scheduled in Downtown Scranton. Families can attend Baby Animal Days and the Tulip Festival at Lakeland Orchard & Cidery, while Indraloka Animal Sanctuary offers a Pig Pampering event as part of the Nurture & Nourish series.

Local history enthusiasts can participate in the "You Live Here; You Should Know This" game show at the Scranton Art Haus. In addition, a Circle Flea Fair and Farmers Market will be held at the Circle Drive-In.
